What types of classroom furniture does Columbia manufacture?
Columbia manufactures school furniture built for today’s learning spaces, including student seating, desks, desk/chair combos, tables, teacher desks, cafeteria tables and much more. Our products are designed for durability, style and everyday performance in busy schools.
Are Columbia products Made in the USA?
Yes. Columbia builds school furniture in the United States. Our headquarters and manufacturing operations are based in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Do you offer ADA inclusive classroom furniture?
Yes. We offer inclusive options such as our ADA Desk, designed specifically for wheelchair access and adjustable up to 34″ high. Many Columbia lines also include adjustable-height desks and tables to support accessibility, comfort and inclusivity.
What is Columbia’s warranty?
Columbia’s limited warranty varies by product category. Hard plastic school furniture is warranted for 15 years, Classic Comfort Series (soft plastic) school furniture is warranted for 5 years and activity tables and computer work stations are warranted for 2 years. Some individual products list a specific warranty on their webpage or spec sheet.
What is the QuickShip Program?
QuickShip is designed for when you need classroom furniture fast. Select popular desks and chairs can ship within five business days, with availability based on current supply and first-come, first-served ordering. Ask your distributor to confirm current QuickShip items and timing for your project.
What is Build & Hold and when should I use it?
Build & Hold helps districts and dealers plan ahead for large projects. You can order before April 1 of the current year to lock in pricing, avoid lead-time risk and support on-time delivery. We then store your volume order and ship it later in the same year when you are ready (by September 30 at the latest).
What color and finish options are available?
Columbia offers a broad range of color choices across seating, tops, book boxes, frames and table edging, including standard and Designer Choice options. Ask your distributor about samples to match your school’s look and maintenance needs.
Are Columbia products clean air certified? What does stewardship mean at Columbia?
Our products are SCS Indoor Advantage Gold certified for indoor air quality, supporting healthier learning environments.
